Here is my third painted assassin from Games Workshop Assassinorum: Execution Force game. This time it’s Eversor Assassin – miniature in very dynamic pose.
King of the swamp
Here is Aggrakk from Mierce Miniatures. It is quite large piece of reptile. He is mounted on 60mm base and is 65 mm high. Painting his skin scale by scale took me a “little” time but I like the final effect. This is the first miniature base that I used Vallejo Still Water. I added a drop of sepia ink to make it more swampy.
Darth Vader at a miniature contest
Ahoy,
another wonderful weekend in Bavaria with miniatures in background. This time 3. Fürstenfelder Modellbautage 2017 near Munich -http://www.fuerstenfelder-modellbautage.de
Apart from models, figures, traditional beer, precels and weißwürst there were lots of additional activities for children! Yes, this event concentrates not only on nerds but mostly on young hobby adepts. There were many attractions for them like:
Star Wars®-Truppe
fuerstenfelder-modellbautageBricking Bavaria with their LEGOs and place for children to create things on their own.
RC-Buggys races
Riding on a real steam train
And of course the show mit many plastic models and some miniatures. There could have been more entries in the contest, but you had to pay 2€ for every miniature you enter … Why limit the people who want to enter more? I always thought the more entries, the more everyone should be happy. Strange logic to me.
Although a small event me and my family had great time. You can see the organizers have concentrated themselves on attracting younger people with the hobby.
Nymert, or Daemon Princess of Slaanesh
I’ve been working for a large Slaaneshi-themed project for some time already and I have the opportunity of letting my imagination go out of the box with it. While judging at the Hussar 2016 contest, I found this lovely model at one of the stands.
I immediately knew it would make a perfect addition to the army, because even though originally Nymert looks completely different, I instantly imagined her painted as a larger counterpart of Deaemonettes of Slaanesh! Not quite a daemon prince so maybe a daemon princess? 😉
I won’t be writing too much about the model, as you can easily find it in the Pegaso Models range, and my concept was to paint her much like a larger version of the daemonettes I painted a few months ago. My color scheme for them was not quite like the official one, and this one is a slightly modified copy of the same scheme.
I wanted her to look different, more out-of-this world, blending the two aspects you can often see in Slaaneshi models. The sexual or sensual and the scary, dangerous. So when my idea to add something to her belly, like a maw or vagina, was accepted, I went on to add it here. And if you are not sure you can handle it, don’t search for vagina dentata pictures… 😉
A couple of warriors…
Here are two Red Box Games miniatures that I painted recently – Svanhild the Sure and Big Bernard. Their names are so obvious that I don’t have to explain which one is which 🙂
