Recenty I painted some more apocalypse survivors in 1:35 scale. I hope that you like them as much as I enjoyed painting them!
Here is my whole collection so far 🙂
Here is some progress on my apocalypse survivors project. Another survivor joins the team – Nathan from Not Yet Dead Miniatures.
Here are all the survivors together:
Moreover, the survivors acquired a new car – old but still running Dodge M37 from Roden. Painted in nice orange color, although the paint is quite damaged now…
VDV Girl from Armor35 – another miniature in 1/35 scale. I painted her in rather casual colors instead of an uniform.
Next time I will try to make a family photo of all my apocalypse survivors painted so far.
I enjoyed painting the last vehicle, so I decided to make another one. Here is Land Rover Defender 110 from Hobby Boss in 1/35 scale. It’s not easy to find a civilian vehicle in this scale, so I converted an army one. I made additional windows in the rear section and changed spare tire location. This is supposed to be car prepared for hard times, so I installed metal mesh on the windows and some roof rack. I really liked making all those scratches and damp patches. I wanted the vehicle to look shabby – just as post-apocalyptic car should look like .
After painting some postapocalyptic survivors in 1/35 scale I wanted to paint vehicle in this scheme. German Civilian Car w/ Gas Rockets from Takom was just great. This is old good BMW 323i. I did not put gas rockets into the trunk but still car looks shabby and rusty. The car is supplied with a figure that suits great unsafe times of apocalypse.
Never undermine BMW driver’s skills 🙂
I enjoyed very much assembling and painting the car and I plan to make more similar vehicles.
