not sure about more red... I mean the chest eagle is red already, the deathwing symbol on the right shoulder pad is red, the symbol on the small shield is red... maybe I should change the color of any of these symbols?

Ok the red is finished, together with all the lenses.

I've basecoated the crux terminatus in black green it still needs to be highlighted of course, but it definitely looks a lot better than the grey.

the lenses are, but are the reds?
they seem to be missing at least the final highlight...

yeah the picture is a bit dark, but I used a 3:1 mix of orange and red as the last highlight

would you add a little bit yellow to this mix for the final highlight?

Anyway I like to paint red by highlighting dark red up to bright red, I usually don't go any further, but that's my personal taste. Some good contrast might look better on this guy....

I must say that all other colors look better next to these reds, which look unfinished to me. I wouldn't add yellow but rather some ivory or cream color... Just to define the shapes and edges better - but it may be my personal preference...

I think a cream would be better than a yellow too since it would help give similarities with the armour colour. The red and green do compliment the whole armour well.

I've been watching this from the start and im still in two minds about how good the concept is. I think maybe a different model may have given more impact, still it is coming along rather nicely, although im not a fan of the streaky armour effect you've done even as a test model.

You know the real test would be to make a large bust of your test model and paint it in the same way and put them next to each other for comparison ;)

Ivory might just do the trick... I've used this for armor too, thanks for the tip.
