Ana wrote:@ arctica: In the PL section we are thinking about the same :blackeye: Sculpture of gargoyle is too complex for this complex freehand lava effect. This does not work - doesn't looks good on photos, but fortunately for my client :) in real, this efect looks clean.

I didn't expect that the mini after paintwork will be so difficult in waching/understanding.
Sad, but worth remembering about.
So i either need to learn Polish or do what demi does and use english in the PL forums ;).

no need to :) the smartest comments always appear in the English section ;)

and although I am usually pretty happy with my pics, this time I just couldn't find a way to present this one. the model is all about being a scene going on in three dimensions. I am pretty satisfied with my photo skills, but this time they simply were not enough. the only way of presenting it I can think of might be a rotating animation, like Gamezone do with their miniatures.

so, even though this one is by no means my favorite from Ana, I like the real piece and don't like what I can see on the photos. still much to learn for me...

The photos are OK. I don't think anybody could do better here.
Complex painting on an already complex sculpt of the gargoyle
makes it difficult to recognize what is happening. That's all.

I spent the last weeks painting one of my favourite minis from GW
Works went fast and very enjoyably :D

I followed your suggestions from the last time and I think I made progress :bonk: (boaster)
but all the work went in a little different atmosphere.
I am curious what do you think about it.

for now I will only say that I don't understand and don't like arrows on wings. the rest of course looks fantastic, but I don't have time right now to check all details

I like this one in all of his ugly Nurgleness but agree with Phil that I am not too keen on the arrows on the wings. I think he will be a fitting member of your nugle army. :)

I would agree that the arrows on the wings are out of place, but I don't think they detract from the paint job.

There's quite a bit of color variation in there and all of the transitions are smooth. I also like how you're able to maintain a very rustic/nurgle look with the weathering techniques you used.

 I am surprised!

Because I think this arrows are more explainable than the last time.

These arrows obviously are ;) a kind of armor for the skeleton of the wings.
And I was so proud of this idea
It had to look primitive if they are all about mutations and sickness ... and they didn't even care to change their colors from the pre-heresy scheme to the Nurgle one.

I would like to understand why these arrows don't look good. Stay here and explain it to me, please.

Of course I am very happy that now I know your opinion ... :? unanimous one?
No one changed mind?
...
yes, I am only making sure ;) are you still sure?
