What's new from Ana?

Post by Ana »

Hi, recently I painted some pieces.
First is still secret ;) I painted it when I waiting for the Tau.
The second is a woman, who was found offensive by some ebay guy :blackeye: If you want to talk about it too, feel encouraged.

I add from me that I was shocked, because (as you know) I sold atractive ladies many times. I understand that in many countries nudity is sinful, but I didn't expect an american corporation to care abouth it. Thanks to this guy my mini had to go trough bidding again, without her assets  Do you think that minis like this should be sold censored?

Mini is from Hasslefree Miniatures, it name is "Taxxis - queen of undead with her troll Deth"

I caught this subject, and captured the moment when Taxxis said a spell to release undead from the abyss of hell.

Especially for this spell she had to find a place looking like the abyss of hell. Thanks to the spell the abyss will open and release soldiers/slaves for Taxxis -as many as big is her power, of course

On the next page of the book, is a warning about dragon of fire, who can be in the same territory, and how to cope with it.
I will not bore you any longer with history of her ;)

Last week I finished 2 tau.
The first is here:

The colors are from the army in which they will serve, the same goes for terrain (base). Paintwork was fantastic, I mean enjoyable. Big model, colors I like, and something new for me

Well, about that lady lots was told I suppose so I will try to focus on Tau.
What is most eyecatching - the color scheme, very unusual.
Also legs or feets look attractive - I like it, 'cause dirty elements seem realistic.
And the base - simple but nice. It suits well to the model.

bah, I also don't have shameful parts

As for minis - I'm in love with the first one :) great paintjob
Can you make a close-up of the book? I'd like to read the spell ;)

If I was to nit-pick, than I'd say that flower would not grow on that rock, with all lava flowing around :bonk:

Tau - your version confirms my opinion on Tau models. they look great with proper colour scheme, while most standard (GW) schemes makes them look like toys. Now, this is some mean machine, not chicken-robot...
Good job on that one as well.[/quote]

Queen of the Undead

Well, the lava, the intentional broken base, the color transition of the monster, the lady skin tone, spell book are all well done. But this mini, I think is the sculpting, is not catching my eyes at all, even it is naked. :)

Tau

I really like the battle damage done on the Tau model. And I understand and kind of agree with Nameless about the color scheme. Um, however, I do not know why, this kind of deep blue color scheme just is not my cup of tea. um...I am not saying I love those GW's color scheme on Tau, but I think it depends on the taste we want to bring in. :)

For example, Gundam in Japanese animation, they always use brighter blue, red, white etc colors and people love those models. :)

About the muddy feets, I like it as if matches the mood of the battle damage. Ana, would you mind to share how you do the muddy feets? They do not look like sands to me, you just paint them with different browns? :)

And, I would suggest the base has some sort of muds or wet soil or little swarm? which is the reason of getting the feets muddy? :)

Thanks, the dust and the mire were made from pigments.
First, I used some light color without water and put on all dirty parts.
Second, I used darker color without water and drybrushed.
Third, the same dark color was mixed with Water Effect from GW and brushed in a similar way to drybrushing.
Last, I used a light color and added water, and made stains .
Do you need names of colors?

I have photos of Ariel :D Mahon made them in all his free time this Sunday :?
But thanks to him I can share them with you.
I had many suggestions from her owner: blond hair, aquamarine skin, brown dress, autumn mood.
I had to add the arm with sleeve and the staff - she came to me like a veteran of war ;)

Comments are welcome.
