Very nice. Also like the 'not so standard' greens on the DA's! :)

AFAIK the idea was to use greens other than standard ones.

I must say I like the minis and the general smoothness - especially on the robes.

And today I saw he dreadnought's legs. One of them has a pretty pretty freehand!

Really like the cloth blending, very smoooooth but then that's to be expected from Ana ;)
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

Cloth looks french :P
I like the dirty green. Very nice contrast btw. And you must really like painting dirt on the sides of your bases :D

The thing I look forward to the most is the dread. The arm looks very nice. Can't find anything I don't lik.
I would add some texture to the nids headplates though if I were you.

new photo:

IMAGE REMOVED, AS IT TENDED TO HEAT THE DISCUSSION UP TOO MUCH ;)

ToMaZ - I agree with you, I will do it, and I took suggestion from Kacpero about the head that skin could be more saturated (if I understad him correctly  )

Today I want to finish the red fingers and add inscriptions on the next leg ... maybe I find time to paint gold borders

Thank you all :)

I see that even in freehands you greatly improved! You will leave no painting area for others, argh...
Looks nice so far :)

dread is amazing, Ana, but...
you're such an imaginative person and have proper skills to turn your ideas into reality, that it is imho waste of your talent to copy existing works.
I ofcourse fully understand commission/money... issues, so never mind my theoretical whining. I'd just love to see sth truly new and yours :)

Excellent

The freehands are amazing! And the damage done to the arm is great.
But I don't like the red toe's. They feel out of place, but I guess when it all comes together it will look better.

Thanks, man. I took this dread to paint because this is a challenge for me. I love the original version and this is honor for me paint with this inspration. It is hard to paint something that was made before and do it in a different way. Not copy, and be close enough to the original, learn something new, do something I wouldn't otherwise paint.

ToMaZ - if the red on the end still doesn't match, tell me. I will work on it.
