Re: Iron Painter 2012
Ah, that's nice
And you choose your opponent? I mean, is it "team" based or is it random?

Re: Iron Painter 2012
pairs are drawn randomly by the organiser
it's like a football cup - you beat your opponent, you qualify to the next round

Hehe, wish I would have the level to do that (and more over the strengh hehehe)
Re: Iron Painter 2012
isn't it the "you pay to participate" or "you pay if you lose" kind of contest?

Re: Iron Painter 2012
looser is supposed to send a mini to a winner. it is not a requirement though, just suggestion.
Re: Iron Painter 2012
This will be my first foray into the IP madness. Probably won't make it out of the first round, assuming I can even get something finished.

Thought about joining, but the 14 days rhythm is too hard for my timetable.

Re: Iron Painter 2012
14 days is insane!
Simply thinking about the delay of acquiring a miniature already makes this very hard, only feasible when you have a large pile of unpainted miniatures or a well stocked gaming store around the corner.
What kind of themes can be expected?

it is, but it also makes you do things you wouldn't expect from yourself.Corvus wrote:14 days is insane!
I've personally painted infinity dio with 3 minis on it, huge dragon or chariot with 2 goblins and 3 wolfes for past competitions. you might remember all of these works from my threads.
hard to say, they vary - "OSL", "My Hero"... One of IP competitions had film titles as themes: the colour purple, vertigo...What kind of themes can be expected?
