Nice job on the black robes. You managed to make it look very dark and still the shape shows through. Although it's not really my favourite type of mini, I'm curious to see the rest of this

Nice work on the black robes! I find it is tough to keep them properly black rather than grey, so you have done that well. They also have a wonderful satin quality to them, too.
However I find the colour scheme a little problematic overall. You have only the skin tone and the black, so a little spot colour such as the blue on the tentacle really draws the eye. I generally prefer the focus to be on the head or chest, so something is needed to make that area the center of attention rather than his right hip. perhaps make the horns a different colour, and introduce some deeper tones into the skin on the face- some green or purple glazes will definitely help to give it some depth.

I like him Corvus, really great job. I'm particularly taken with how you'd done the black. Is there any chance you could tell me what colours you've used? I see a blue sort of tinge to the highlight which I really like.

Indeed: I used Vallejo Model Color Dark Blue.
I mixed in some with the black to create the first highlight, then gradually adding more together with white.

Re: Corvus' WIPs
Hey everyone! I've been away for a bit, I know. Currently struggling with some health issues which are probably (and hopefully) all stress related. I'm home from work for two weeks already, and have another two weeks of "rest" to come. So plenty of time for painting.
That's why I decided to start working on this ambitious project, a unit of Drunes.

Another figure I'm currently painting is this big Orc, (a miniature by Warploque Miniatures).
