the green is fine. now I would add lighter contouring to upper edges of red parts.

I'm desperately looing for red parts here...
I'd darken shadows on the shield, like under different elements on it - chords, INQ sign, visor (is it a visor at all?)

Think Mahon is referring to the bronze since there's some red glazing in there (along with brown).

Would be a lot easier to get feedback in person since after lighting adjustments, camera settings and then the variance on monitor colors, you folks could be seeing something completely different. May be time for me to read up on some photography tutorials instead of randomly fiddling with my camera settings.

Bleh. Double bleh.

Posting a picture because I'm frustrated. Spent a couple hours trying to get this shield finished and it just doesn't look all that great to me. The colors seem off, paint is getting thick and I really just want to scrap the entire thing. Any ideas?

I can't see what is wrong. To me it looks fine. Maybe the verdigris is a bit overdone, but looking fine.
