Greetings from icy Germany

Post by DAGabriel »

Hi guys and gals,

my name is Thomas aka DAGabriel from Germany near Treveris. Like Darius before me I am in my forties and I have been painting small puppet soldiers (my wifes words) for about 14 years.
I have been lurking here for some months. Now I had some contact with Mahon and decided to join this crowd.
Since the playing around here is rather scarce I am mainly focused on painting and collecting, but now we have got a games workshop here in Treveris I possibly will try my hand with my new love (a chaos dwarfs army I am starting at the moment).
I don`t know if that is a good idea to start with those little guys since I found that I have to use a magnifying glass more often than some years ago, but I hope one grows with the task at hand.
My second love in painting is terrain and since I haven`t started with the dwarfs I will post some pics of my buildings in the next days. It is my belief that terrain is an integral part of our hobby and it is fun. Atm I am working on a graveyard and a small village for my hobgoblins to come.
I will welcome any tips and tricks I can learn on this forum but be patient with me, an old man isn`t learning very fast anymore :bonk: .

Think i will manage the GD, will you have a mini there for competition?

I am working in hospital, so most time i will only know a month in advance if i got free (and sometimes not even then).

It is such hard work to help the sick and the ailing
