Hi,
after introducing myself i thought i make a Wip Thread of my Miniatures in progress.
I Start with Mogwycch from Bederken Miniatures,
I know this Miniature is Oldschool looking but i like it and the Idea of an furies raging female Dwerg (coruptet dwarf) that kick ass and cut throats in search of her stolen Bra.
Here she is
Im not realy sure about the skin tone and also not wich colour i will paint the skirt finally..
for the eyes in the helemet i will do an Glow effekt i guess that will look more evil..

I like the skintones so far. I'll be interested to see how the helmet finishes up - it's lookng good so far. I think her skirt would look great in an olive green which you could tie in through her skintone by adding some greenish hints. It would work as a nice counterpoint to the red helmet.
now you got all in cold colors - cold red cold skin - you mey try to change to warm - like in shadows cold colors end in light a bit warmer
ther whas somwer Mahon tutorial when he got fun with naked Ana's Concubine (ok thats sound strange.. ) end expline about warm cold colors on mini
well similar you wil get on tutorial main page - painting faces
eny way keepposting .. meybe inmean time Mahon wil fine what he done with concubie end show that

A question to your Shaows end in warm wich kind of colour u would u se for it to let it end in a warm tone?
I had a look to that tutorial of painting faces and wow its nice maby i will overwork the skinton. hmmmm now im thinking.. ha ha ha

So my progress from today not much but a bit i tried to soft the helmet ....and to start to paint the Gold detaisl on it and i ad the base colour for my OSL Glow effect Click to see full-sized image
end about painting - purple / blu - cold co warm will be oposite yellow ./ green / red
i would actualy use somthing like GW flesh tone (this ussles yellow eggy color ) just to warm up a bit lighted area - but that just my idea it mey turn out that a litle of warm green or red wil add realy nice hue

Next step on my Miniature is done i reworked the skin, but im further not that statisfied with it.. hmmm ..
and my SLR is horrible... it shows every rough structure even the structure of the sculpt... ha ha ha

I find this sculpt grotesque, half naked dwarf chick with a closed helmet...
you have increased this feeling by painting a very pale skin (which I like) and a very colourful helmet (which I don't really like). rich colours just steal the show.
if you want that - go for it, it's your mini I'd personally try to focus viewers attention on skin, not helmet
now you got skin that is to much lellow - like if ther would beosl from torch - but now it is on eqal with helmot not in shadow of his colorfulnes
ad more colors to the skin - some glazes with dwarf skin in highlights end then same with ivory on very spot end you got cool skin ,
about blades ATM it looks like stone blade its not bright enught , beside reflection on polered mertal looks realy sharp not smouth

Hi yes i know what u mean with your cool colours and more natural... and set the focus on the skin... at the moment im not realy sure where my painting journy will go to but i keep your words in mind Thanks and if it will not be this miniature i have some more dwergs

ok i triet it wiht the ivory and with the fleshtone now i have realy smooth skin
