New Member from Australia

Post by Angora »

Hi all,

Just registered :)
My name is Peter Overton from Melbourne, Australia.
I'm a keen painter and hobbyist - I've been at it since the late 1970's.
I regularly enter our local Golden Demons and so far have 9 to my name. I do rather specialise in the duel category as my painting doesn't quite cut it against the likes of Seb and Kyle :(
Here are a few examples of my work.

I look forward to being part of the community

Cheers

Welcome and thx for the pics! :)

It's been pretty slow on OZ painters lately, maybe that could be a reason?

I must admit that Bohun's Dread pointed me here. I've been aware of the place for ages but have been inspired to join after looking about during my 'research'.
This is a high quality place for painting and I figure if I want to improve what better place than to get advice from you european big guns :-)

A lot of my inspiration comes from the great painters we have here locally and the guys on Dragon Painting. I can say, with some confidence, that Weisern improved my painting immesurably, as did seeing Seb's pieces in the flesh.
My duels, if that's to what you refer, are largely inspired by the dynamics of the various minis. I generally prefer plastics for those pieces as they allow for much easier posing. I look for interesting models in as many parts as possible.
I have cunning plans for GD 2012 involving Dark Eldar and Eldar...
