In last month with brothers from https://www.thebrushbrothers.eu we've decided to begin a small challange. Everyone of us should paint one of the new plastic Blood Crusher. We'll be grateful if you could vote in your opinion for the best mini.
i agree, this is such a tough choice. They're all really good however going towards my own comical bright style i prefer number 3 too. I like bright shiny colours !
After making a first cut I was left over with 3 or 4. I think technically these two are equal to each other. So I choose 4 simply because I l ike the muted colorscheme more than the bright colors of 3.
I voted in the polish section for fourth, for the same reasons as Corvus. just one more reason from me - no. 3 has a pretty standard colour scheme which we have seen many times already. it's not a poor scheme, colours work well ofcourse. but, when you compare two good works, a bit of creativity and originality can easily tip the scale.
I have voted for the 2nd, a vote for originality though not necessarily technical perfection. Judging purely on technique my vote would probably go to option 4.
1: Jugger is great , but the blue is too overpowering IMO. The rider looks a bit like plastic. The base + plinth came out really well.
2: Very original take on this fig. Cool conversion, but the rider blends in a bit too much with the jugger. The base is mediocre. The beast looks very good though. I like the dirty look and the blood looks good too.
3: Looks awesome. Not really my style, but I can't really find any point of critique.
4: Same as 3, hard to find a point of critique. Love the NMM on this one.
In the end I voted for n°2. Originality wins it for me.
