A guy @ my local gamestore used a big pot (200 ml or something like that) of w&n black instead of the usual Chaos Black, works just as great and it's a lot cheaper.

You're talking about the bottles, right? Or do you mean the paint in the tubes.

I just picked up a couple bottles of Tri-Art, which is supposed to me an artists grade acrylic. I picked two colours, Grey and Red. Both were listed as Opaque. I've only tested the Grey. Not good coverage, even unthinned. The viscosity is fairly thick, but it brushes out nice and thin.

Same deal with the red. Their handling quality is nice. They probably would work well glazing, but they don't cover well.
