Cave Troll painted 5 years ago, this is a testing photo for my upcoming website. I may retake some more photos for this same model later.
Please kindly give me constructive comments and criticisms. I need them badly for fine tunning the photos. This is only a reference photo but your comments mean so much to me. Finally, after long time, I post again ......... hi to all, I miss you all.
I think I finally find the right help for the photo taking....... I think so.
The photo is very good. Maybe a little bit overexposed (+1/3?) but almost perfect I would say. I think some unnecessary background can be cropped out of the picture on the sides...
I love your forum and I love the people here from the date I joined. However, I disappeared because I really needed to spend time on painting miniatures, and preparing for the site, etc.
Now it is almost done, but the photos are going to be retaken before it will publicily launches. Long time ago, I asked for Mahon's permission and the forum is written based on the grestest "Chest of Colors".
Hi Hosea, nice new website, it's looking great. Now you and the rest of the crew need to paint more. I keep delaying my trip to Hong Kong but i'll definately give you a shout before i do.
Haha, my teammates do not paint miniatures. They are different kinds of artists, eg. photographer, painting's painters, the site is a blend of different arts, hehehe.
Yes, anyone from this forum can let me know if visiting HK, I will take you guys to the local HK miniatures club, haha.
why should I mind? usually I use auto white balance, as I tend to shoot everything in RAWs, ISO 100, f/11-f/22 depending on size of the photographed object, exposure depends on the light I have and I just check the histogram to see if I got it right. anything else you'd like to know?
May I ask how you make that kind of colorful, center-focused, and kind of blur (do not know how to describe, sorry, hehe) background in your gallery, I mean most of those models are painted by Ana, but I would like to try to make that kind of background to see how it goes.
The background? It's printed and held behind the model. No secret knowledge...
I have a few of them to choose from but I've been using only 2-3 of them recently.
