hi, I finished a new mordheim miniature. Tell me what you think !
he's the veteran of the group. a grizzled old timer with lots of experience and a trusty halberd. I think his hair and the fur parts came out very nice, and I'm also very proud of the hammer hanging from his belt. I worked to improve the look of all the metallics, from chainmail to the halberd.

I also took a first group shot : I have to find a way to get them all on picture without placing them so wide, because coolmini shrinks the pictures. I also think it's too big, does the site delete it when it finds out?

you could make the main part of the base out of wood/foamboard and cut the circles for their bases out so they sit in the recesses.Mordred wrote:it will propably be very simple, plain matte black with all the figures on it. I'm only wondering how I will attach the different figures to the base without glue.

Best one yet Mordred!
You could also attache them to the base with magnets. If I were you I'd do a bit of scenic base. This way you tie them in well together and they are not just a group of miniatures put on a black piece of wood.
The examples used by Lonewolf are a great example and in my opoinion are a must! If you just put them on top it looks weird, integrated in the base is much better for the overall look.

I have two more right now, including the captain of the band and another mercenary. If I'm in the mood I will paint a halfling scout maybe or another youngblood.
I have no idea what to do with the base yet, but I'll figure something out when the time comes
I'm thinking of a very long, small wooden block, just wide to hold the paint lid with a little room on each side, painted entirely black with cobblestone attached to the top, and the shape of the pot lids cut out to fit them onto the base. maybe I'll decorate the side with the same kind of flames I put on the bases, to tie it all together.
