Wazabi conversion WIP

Post by atacam »

As promised here are a few WIP of a Wazabi mini I am working on for a Jean Bey tribute.

BTW I like taking big WIP shots so you can see all the details, sorry mistakes

This is the original conversion, you will see that I changed it as the fan was..er crap.

This is where I had got with the mini, a while ago, before I decided to repaint her.

Just some freehand on the parasol, then its done. This has to be finished by the end of this month, so there will be a finished picture post up soon ;)

Cool conversion. Makes her much more feminine....
but I may be biased as I like the model even without it.

Love the way you're painting her, especially the dress and the freehand you painted there.
Are you going to paint some stronger shadows in the deeper folds of her dress? I think they'd do much good there...

it's pretty good and I quite like it  :P

I painted wasabi some time ago, one of the most fun minis I ever painted. I'm really curious where you will get with your paintjob :)

Cool, i rather like the small green stuff additions you've made. The small changes make it much more unique. The colours choices are great and very nice, will you be doing anything else for the face area?, can't wait to see more.

lovely!
great conversion and great painting. Face is fantastic as well as the freehand. I am just a little dubious about the too whitish edge at the bottom of the dress...I would have not gone so much to the extreme...
Great job

excellent attention to detail with her clothing and makeup, even making sure the twin points on the back of her neck are painted, I suspect you did some research for the finer details. The pink of the kimono is really nice too, especially with the white floral motif.
