great tutorial, although the final version looks pretty different from pics in the tutorial :)

I was always wondering, why do the final versions look so much better than the step-by-step illustrations in the tutorials.
Is there a never-documented secret-final-touch step that nobody reveals :) or people just don't bother making good photos during painting?

for me it doesn't even look like a worse-quality pic, which would be completely understandable. this looks like a totally different paintjob. the variation between colours is huge.

yep, the right one looks more like bright NMM, while the one on the left looks like weathered metallics.

the tutorial is very good anyway!

Yeah, and not only the blades. The skin is also much smoother and has different color than in the tutorial.
