WIP - Captured Hive Tyrant

Post by Cheredanine »

OK so I am doing a piece for a games day table, basically a Hive Tyrant that has been captured and is being dragged around, the pics are the base and the captured tyrant sans arms and head, either side of the tyrant will be a sentinal power lifter, (forgeworld model) the claws of the power lifters will hold a bar to which the upper claws of the tyrant are chained (like a yoke). Obviously I can not attach the arm and head of the tyrant until the power lifters are ready (otherwise they may well get in the way of the bar).

The sentinels are (by popular demand) yellow. As well as holding the bar between them, they will each have a pole comming upwards from the box on the rear, this will have a cross bar to which will be attched tubes (guitar strings) comming out og the boxes and going in to the spirocules (holes) on the side of the tyrants head, filling it with drugs, the one on the gun side of the tyrant will also hae a barrle attched which will have another tube going to the gun barrel (via the craosspiece)

The tail has been redone (at the time of the picci it had got scrathed and patched a little but I was unhappy with it so repainted (layered), the tyrants left hoof will go in a puddle of water (to be applied after varishing)

Comments/thoughts/suggestions welcome (for the humourously minded, others suggested the yellow colour cheme for the (not photod) sentinals, however the designations (JC-A and, wait for it... JC-B are entirely the fault of my warped subconcious)

Great idea and it seems it's gonna be a cool piece! Do you already have any pose for the tyrant in mind?
As for my suggestions - the color of the tyrant's body is a bit too bright for me... I would mute it a bit, but it's just me and my preference...
