Brother Isaac - Just a gaming piece

Post by Laita »

Well this will be my first post on the board, granted this is the first mini I've painted since I joined the forum so... :) Anyway, this is just a gaming piece (really need to finish this army!) This model represents a couple more firsts for me, its my first time painting (attempting to anyway) NMM, silverish on the armor with golden ruins and weapon. Still leaves a lot to be improved on, but with helpful hints from ya'll ;)

This pic isn't the best of quality, or maybe I'm just not good a photoshop, but I'll play around with the camera a bit and see if I can make it any better.

Hey, you've improved a HUGE LOT since the last mini you showed at HD!

As for the pic it's pretty good. I like the paintjob a lot and so can't suggest anything else than ... painting the whole army in this quality. :D

I like this, it's very good.
Nice NMM. But the armour looks like was painted by mettalics colors, wasn't it??

By the way, GK Terminators models are great and if they aren't painted they still looks great - but your model is much better

heja!
I like Your gk - nice, clean paintjob; the only thing I'd do if I were You is adding more shadings (even such simple like wash-made) but it's probably just a matter of taste - I like "dark" minis
btw - if You arne not sure about Your painting skills You have nothing to worry about I clearly see You are going in the right direction :xmas:

Looks good! I agree with Mahon that a whole army painted like this one will look very nice on the gaming board! :)

Thanks, you guys are too gracious! I'm still not sure about where to do a lot of the highlighting with NMM ('specially on the legs & shoulder pads), but I think I'm going in the right direction. If you don't mind me asking, what are some of the paint recipes some of you use for NMM (gold and silver).
