What a day!

Post by Skrit »

well...

first of all I had such a nice day I just wanted to share!

It started off by a visit to an aunt of mine. I didn't really wanted to go as I had to be in the car for 2 hours there and another two hours back, plus there was a festival in my hometown I rather would have gone to and I had to hurry back for the finals of a Pool tournament I was in!

The trip to my aunt though got me extremely relaxed! She lives near to the border of Germany and the place was just so nice and serene that it had quite a good effect on me. A nice barbeque later and we were on our way back...

The Pool tournament. It was a knock-out style of play and I had very bad luck in the draws. Basically, if I wanted to go through to the final I had to battle my way through the best players in the area.

First I was lucky that my opponent potted his balls very stupidly and I won 3-1. (all games were best of five!) Then I was on a roll and defeated the normal number one and two of the league 3-0! :D

In the final (best of seven!) the guy told me he was glad I had gotten rid of the other players in the tourney cause now he said he would win! (cocky fellar!) I won. And HOW! 4-0 and to my surprise I won the tournament! :trampolin:

Then I went out drinking with a few mates of mine and had a very good time!

All in all a very nice day where I thought the day would be a disaster!

I can imagine it doesn't interest the most of you but I just wanted to vent... :P

do you think that I'm very good? ;) I play pool once or twice a week, just 5 games every time I guess. I can play some pool, but I'm really no Ronny O' Sullivan :p besides, I just enjoy a good game of pool with a few beers of course

well for me it's usually a Duvel ... the place where I play pool sells them for 1.70 ? instead of the usual 2.50 and I can't really say no to such offers :p

Congrats Skrit!

If I'm ever in the same place as you or Mordred I'll play. I'm horrible, but I won't drink while you both will. ;) Might let me keep playing a few minutes longer.
