Color scheme for Skaven

I've got a skaven leader (older), the one holding rifle and pointing with left hand. Was wondering what anyone thought for a color scheme. I havent painted skaven before, but i was thinking of doing clan pestilene.
A greenish robe, real dirty looking. I saw a picture( cant remember where) of a monk with checkered trim along bottom of robe. I thought this would be cool. Any thoughts? I:ve just been staring at a white mini

Have the same mini somewhere around here and started painting him along time ago. (never finished him!) I also gave him green robes and blackish fur. I wouldn't do him like a Pestilence though as they hardly employ weaponry as he has... (is more Clan Skryre)

My skaven knowledge is lacking. Never thought about pestilen not using the rifle. I plan to start painting him tomarrow, so i should have a wip shot monday.

maybe try some dirty white-like fur? if it would be really dirty it should compose nicely with greenish robes

DM white fur is a very bad idea unless he is a Gray seer. Black fur is a color for warlords...

I know... but I it would be a nice way to make this unit more "elite"

@DM Yeah, i was thinking of making him look old, so the fur will be a gray-white. The skin I think will be a lighter flesh with some blue and purple glazes to help make him look old. Any thoughts on a checkered trim along the bottom of the robe?

Thanks DiaCon, those green robes are exactly what I was looking for, also a reaaly nice looking unit!

If you wanna know anything about them ask away! I've been playing them for years now and have about 8000 points worth of them! (not much painted though!

Ok here it is, Clan Skryre, he is an old warlord, black fur that has begun to grey, still the dirty, green robes with checkered trim along the bottom, his chainmail and armour is rusted steel. The vials along hes torso a glowing green.
