Color Choices for a new Battle Group

So, while at Origins this past weekend, I picked up the new Mercenary warcaster for Warmachine, Ashlynn d'Elyse. I'm working on coming up with a color scheme for her and the three or four 'jacks I intend to use with her. The other 'jacks in her entourage will be the Talon, the Nomad, and the Vanguard.

I think I'm going to shoot for a darker purple and silver metallic scheme than the stock Ashlynn color combination (Pics at the bottom of the post). So, GW Boltgun Metal for the base metallics (Ashlynn's armor, and any exposed peices of mechanical stuff on the 'jacks). Then VMC Royal Purple for Ashlynn's cloak/skirt and armor plating base color.

What do you think would work for darkening the Purple for shadows? I reckon I'll need to experiment a little, but I don't figure that black will work out well in that regard. I'm thinking a bit of white will lighten it up for the highlights.

I'm also playing with the Ashlynn's pose. The whole Matrix look doesn't jive with me. Both arms will be in front of her, and I might need to bend the legs a tad. I'm hoping I don't need to cut her up to make it look right.

Mind you just my opinion, but I would go with the purple you have and mix purple ink with some matt medium, a touch of blue ink and your base purple colour to help darken the shodows a bit.

I agree that the sculpted pose could use a bit of work. Not having the mini I could not tell exactly how much, though
