there are such contests in Poland. here is photo-report of contest held in Bytom (in February, IIRC). Tanks mainly, as it was contest for modellers.

Awesome pics, awesome miniatures. It seems however you're only allowed to enter if your mini is one of those large square bases I can never find here in Holland... oh wait I see a large round one as well...

Oh thanks! I know there were a few at Subcultures, but they were too big for me (or at least the ones that were still there). I'm mainly looking for simple square or round bases for single miniatures. But I'll go and check the Mini-Art-Con first this saturday
