Bretonnia Knight of the Realm. First of Eight.

Hi All,
I'm doing a regiment of these old ones for one of my friend. I'm used to paint only imperial knights, so I gladly read all your comments how to continue on other seven knights.
Thanks.

I would add some little freehands on the barding to show individuality of every knight. Other then that he looks pretty good. I like gold eagle on his helmet- nice colour.

greetings!
I never liked old knights miniatures (hmmm... that is probably I don't like bretonnia at all!!! ) but these ones will look very good on the battlefield; as Zolwik wrote You could add some freehand on bardings
- after all acording to background knight are the most noble, rich etc among the rest of society
as a tabletop quality Your minis are nice - Your friend will have no reasons to grumble :D

ps. is this "flying effect" or You just forgot to low the minis on the bases?

Your colour choice is good. I've seen a lot of Bretonnian Knights who have over the top colour schemes. The transitions look abit rough though, did you brush or blend?

hi
i have a whole boxfull of Bretonnians, they look really good together. I would do some diagnal lines on the barding, and paint some diamond shapes, maybe black/white or split the barding into 4 pieces and paint a theme onto it.
Looking good so far, post the rest as you go on.
steve

ps. what are you going to do with the back legs??

Thanks for your tips.
I'm really going to work on some diagonal designs with other knights.
The "flying efect" is because my friends drill is out of house...:)
The barding is done mostly by blending (three colors), metals are brushed.

Ad freehands: well, I'm not sure about myself and eventually there's not much time (and stil so much unfinished ideas:).
