I am the first to say that I love DUST. The art is amazing and the model kits are very cool. Now they have moved into 35mm pre-painted miniatures that will be usable in a game. Not sure how I feel about this!!!
Hello,
here is the first model I've made for Paolo Parente's new 35mm game project, from his own comic book : DUST GAME.
Produced in pre-painted plastic, it will be released soon.
This model is called Totenmeister. He is a kind of evil-nazi bad character, controlling zombies and other ugly kind of guys.
I add Paolo Parente's illustration of this character.
sculpt is nice though. I only don't like the way his cloak is sculpted. It makes this guy look like a little girl in a dress, especially when you add those belts on his chest and arms.
I just cant stand to hear more about cool projects going down the drain with prepainted cr@p
why the hell do i want to pay for a already painted mini if im going to paint it? besides ALL prepainted is undetailed lumps of sculpts... miles away from metal and even unpainted plastics. Prepainted as the name says its not for painters, period.
I even dare to say prepainted evolved VERY little from my mid 80's GI Joe's
unless theres a revolution on PP its for sure bad!
You know when you have a ugly mini and then put sooooo much primer and paint on it that instead of sharp details you have a ball of paint? thats PP... it gets away with big flat surfaces but on smal detail like 28mm faces its horrible, besides have you notice how these miniatures shape always looks off? its probably something to do with PP machines painting limitations... in a word... ugley^^
