I like the first one. The second one looks like an elf on steroids. The rest.. bleh..

Is it me, or are the pics + paintjobs pretty bad?

Yes, either the pics or the paintjobs aren't better than mediocre....

And I feel the poses are no good, and the sculpts are not of the kind I like...

I hate this chariot and the dragon in a cap looks really stupid for me  A I am elf player I have very personal resentment to these "misfires", however old fashioned Dragon Lords looks very nice (it's pity they're "plastics"). Caradryan (the guy with the halberd) is the best of foot models - I think maybe Felix Paniagua's elven hero was inspiration for him. Korhil (steroid guy with axes) hmm... old one was much better I think. Lion Chariot is a good idea, I wish it would be a pewter also...

strange sculpts, but i think they might be actually quite fun to paint. well, maybe except shadowlord and chariot.
and i`m quite pissed that once again they sculpted such stupid scales on the dragon. why they won`t do it the old way? the new, round freaking thingies are such pain to paint :/

Some of the new High Elves are great, especially the Phoenix Guard Captain and the Lion Chariot (mindblowing idea! IMO). But some of the figs do not fit the rest - like the Shadow King - it looks as if they had this mini sculpted some 10 years ago, kept it in a drawer, now found it and released it, just to fill in the range and use an old sculpt :) Or they are trying out a new sculptor. Anoyne knows who sculpted what?

The Lions form the chariot will be great material for a Lammassu conversion I've got planned.

I like the first pic but I agree not all new stuff is good!

Most are computer based sculpts(Rapid prototyping)
