Celtos limited edition - UPdate #3 : almost finished !

Post by Mordred »

heya,

I traded this mini with a rackham limited edition. I really love the simple sculpt and I want to paint this figure abit like Jenova does with her celtos. Flashy, girly colours, nmm, you know her works too :)

it's my first attempt at nmm steel with acryllics, and i'm pretty pleased with the results. Next time I'll try something abit brighter.

picture !

I had the same feeling - the sword is fantastic! Good luck with the rest of the mini :)

wee it's very cool you peepz like the nmm :) I'll keep you updated on the progress.

Gerrie : I'm surprised too, I only took 2 pics but I used the 10 second timer and moved out of the way so that the sunlight could work it's magic :D didn't use anything except natural light and some brightening from the camera itself. If I find a white lamp I can use direct light.

this evening I finished the helmet too I'll try and do the bracelet tomorrow. I should be studying actually :/

I like the sword too, also the armor comes out nicely.
With the sword I have the feeling that it was made of some half-precious stone, like obsidyan, rather than metal, but the effect is great. :)

endrem : I got the exact same remark on another forum ! I guess it's more obsidian than metal looking, I'll try some lighter colours next time.

Lai : I used vallejo luftwaffe blue and basalt grey, combined with white and black for highlighting / shading.
