Aus GD first round cut pics - More added!

Post by Greenmonkeydishwater »

Just thought I would share this with you guys, pic quality is pretty poor sorry. GD Australia first cut. Most of them were done by leigh carpenter so I assume they will get thru to the final! Just remember we have really tight base restrictions in Australia for some reason. They wont let us be creative with our bases!!!!

The pic quality is actually pretty good!

Interesting pieces. The Oz GD is a totally different set up though then the other GDs out there, must be because of the great distances in the country right?

You entering too?

I think that salamander is supposed to be a pre-heresy conversion. Not too sure though. What happens in Oz is you enter you mini at the local GW store, it goes through a series of cuts until the final day in sydney. That have only recently changed it to this (two years ago I think), but I think it was due to the fact that people had to travel very long distances (say from perth to sydney in Zordanas case). Now they would get their minis sent to the finals rather than travelling there. However you can always turn up on the final day with your mini. I didnt end up getting anything finished in time (had work/University commitments :( :(

BTW you wouldnt happen to be into a dutch band called Epica would ya Skrit?

that terminator really looks as if he directly walked out of a comicbook, and to be honest I really like it. I can think of few painters who paint THAT clean. Very nice.

Great to see pieces that will either make first cut and win a price or not. Normally we miss out on a lot of these works while many times they can form an inspiration!
