NIDNESTER & NIDMITE

Post by NAVARRO »

hi there buglovers :)

im doing one big nest terrain for my nids about 30X35 cm and very tall, all with swirly stuff like my normal base nids... but in the process i wanted to understand how nids construct their nests so i created some tyranid organisms specialized in constructing nests...

The Nester is a organism that only eats biomatter and like spiders built complex biomatter webs to capture food and also has protection... on their backs they have little embryos larvaes that like parasites assimilate progenitor nutrients.... this process is long but in the end father nester is consumed by its sons who have been canibalising him for years... although nester is dead his sons nidmites grow in size and many meals later evolve to Nesters...
The nest only gets bigger since nester and nidmites always segregate webs.

so another neardy idea for my nids is born.

i started with the big terrain and within it will have some nidmites and nesters... mind these new nids are not fighters... their workers for the hive.

i already did some concept sketches of what i will try to sculpt...
