Warmachine Army Project... again

Post by ToMaZ »

Heya all,

I finally got some more time on my hands again, and I decided that it's time to finish a 500 pts warmachine force.
I started some more projects before, and I have only finished a few I know, but I'm really determined on this one :D

Since Hordes is coming up in 2 months (22 of April), I really want to have most of my army finished.

This is the force I have planned to paint:

Butcher of Khardov
Berserker Warjack
Juggernaut Warjack
Man-O-War Kovnik
10 Iron Fang Pikemen
Iron Fang Pikemen attachment
Widowmakers
Manhunter

This is a little less than 500 points. 497 to exact ^^

and this is how it all looks like now on an unsharp pic :) :

Butcher is in the middel, berserker on the left, juggernaut on the right, iron fang + attachment behind butcher, widowmakers and manhunter on the left behind the berserker, and the kovnik on the right behind the jugger.

Some minis are partially painted, but except for the jugger, they will be completly repainted.

So... to start things off, here's the WIP butcher: Not the best pic, as you can't see the highlights on the red parts, but it has to do for now. Somehow my camera makes all my minis look bad, but I can't be bothered anymore :P

Oh btw, this visual mode is really, really getting on my nerves....

it's great to see other warmahine army! :D
except several of my minis and Deco's menoth warcaster I can't say I've seen players armies... :(
Your force looks really impressive for me even unpainted... so much minis...
this motivates me even stronger to collect 500pts force!
if a guy from a shop didn't lie mechanithralls and skarlock should arrive in a few days...

Demi, you must imagine that with Cryx you can have almost twice this amount of minis on 500 points ;)

Btw, here's a fine example of an extremly good painted warmachine army (or a part of it)

I believe: my plan for 500pts army doesn't assume any heavy jacks but I don't know is that the best choice... :?

Since I really want to have this army painted, I have to keep posting updates.. as comments will motivate me, if they are not too bad :P :D

the pic of the back is kinda weird, it shows the metallics as being slapped on without thinning, while it was exaclty the opposite. And the fur has lost depth. Still the pics seem to get better, so I have to be happy ^^

comments?

I like him, especially the metallics on the axe. The handle has a good shiny-worn effect. The reds are also nice, but the picture of the back is really not too good. I would give deeper shading to the face. Keep us updated :).

looks like a very good gaming standard tomaz .. I really like the colours on the butcher and the base looks great. The reds could use an additional highlight I think, or some chipped off edges.

I like the checkered pattern on the Warmachines!
