Imperial Fist Marines (WIP)

Post by Komrad »

So after much thinking, I finally start to paint an Imperial Fist army. I'm being suck dry by the ''overlord'' layers of yellow I need to apply on a single model. But ultimately, I hope the army stands out on TT.

I manage to finish the sergeant (haven't done the banner yet) I like his two-face sort of like a Tyranid ripped one part of his face.

And here's a WIP on a marine with the Rocket Laucher

I love it - striking color scheme. If you manage to paint whole army like this, it will look wonderful on a table. This is not a standard table-top quality IMO.
About the yellow - looks completely different (and better!) than usual yellow tone on models. This is perhaps you're not using the white primer for painting yellow, as everyone does :)
I really like red&white checkers pattern. It fits well with other parts of models, and will surely help to build unique feel of your army.

Right, do we have some more hard-core painters here?
OK, just to be more precise:

About the yellow - looks completely different (and better!) than usual yellow tone on models. This is perhaps you're not using the white primer for painting yellow, as almost everyone - beside you, Demi and perhaps few more crazy guys - does. :D

Thanks CofC Cyber-zombie,
uhh... although I would love to aquire a Vallejo paints but they don't sell in my country. I use Citadel Colour Ultramarines Blue + Skull White with each layer brighter than the previous one.

Yeah I.. never used White Primer before... :P But I see black undercoat get's a nice sort of thick darker yellow.

A little country in Southeast Asia called Malaysia. :P

Here even Citadel Colors are rare. The most common paints here are Tamiya Acrylic Paints. They're everywhere and requires thinner, which is good for drybrushing.

Whoops forgot about this:
btw, what is Your imperial fists rooster sheet?
Uh.. I 'm not a familiar TT guy still learning to play actually. :P But I'm planning to check out the latest GW Space Marine Commander/Command Squad/Terminators/ and Honor Guards.
