I finally managed to get first pic of my necromunda gangers so here it is: big boy worth 200 credits
I'm not 100% satisfied the way he turned out: on photo looks more sweet and candy than in reality but I couldn't resist painting something more ccolorful than usually; what do You think? soon rest of his comrades should appear
The shadowed area is probably darkened too much breaking up the surface to extremes. But what I do love alot is the cannon which is super sweet. The belt and buckle across his back is also very lovely (and for some reason I really like the colour of the tongue!)
thank You the tongue and open wounds look a bit better in reality
unfortunately I also screwed the base: I tried to paint rusty/gory ooze but it turned out lika a crap...
I never liked the piantjobs GW did on these mini's. Always too bright and clean. Now your paintjob I like! Dark atmosphere, nice evil feeling he gives off. The gore/bloodstain looks good to me but what I kinda not like is the skull on the base. Somehow it doesn't fit with the rest Imho...
thx but this guy still looks like gw job: I mean clean and candy...
I'll try to change it when I grab my hands on it
I added a skull because the base itself was pretty large and looked flat or "empty"... maybe it's a good idea: I'll replace the skull with some kind of machinery...
I think the base would look better if you had it more orangey then red the way you have.
To break up the base you could try just some rubble.
Or you could try printing out small wanted posters! You should test it first though with your varnish and stuff. Cause I found out that varnish attacked a laser printed flag I once did.
Sorry to post late, everything pretty much has been said by other guys. Hey, I like the overall funny looking of this guy, later, I want to try to paint sth like that. Personally, I think the base is not bad at all.
