Well, they're in the Space Marine style, hard to change the style of the vehicles. Imo, they're nice and would suit nicely even an army with more recent mini since lots of chapter still use relics
Regarding the price, it's pricey but not that expensive when you see how much costs a single motorbike at games workshop, I'd say it's in the price range so nothing really surprising here

I'm more surprised about the price of the book, usually they're around £45, but here, £70 is a bit more imo, even if it's a complete book with campaigns, etc, it's only a book

Book is leather (or fake leather) bound, that's part of the price... They know that pretty much whatever the price is they're going to sell truck load of them...
I am with Misiu on the bikes tho, i really don't like them either.
I'll get the book but that's prolly all from this batch as i don't care for pre-heresy non chaosy legions, now the next book releases with true chaos stuff, that might be another story :p

of course not, but it's amazing how GW/FW can stupify people to actually pay these prices.

Correction:
This was said by Jes Goodwin (not "a GW representative") in context of future models. They want to add all possible options to boxes and optional weapons. He didn't tell when...

Somewhere I have heard that the Necrons were the first army in GW history with all units from Codex released :) So they are making progress!
