I didn't want to sound like "don't do it" or something like this. All I wanted was making sure he's aware of the risk and willing to take it.
And I can't tell if it's a big risk or not. Just wanted to give a friendly warning, as I would hate to see someone put much work into something only to get disqualified...

Absolutely. He is now a 'undead inquisitor'.now, back to the drawing - why don't we call this guy the undead inquisitor, not a cowboy? there are some inq models looking like cowboys in fact - long trenches, hats, weapons...
EDIT: I'd perhaps just replace scarf on his neck with something more 40k-ish. Inquisitor's =I= sign on a chain maybe?
A couple of people have suggested adding a little more to make him fit the 40k universe. The inquisitor's =I= was mentioned a couple of times and I thought of placing a 'fist' icon on the hat. What I might try is redoing the sketch to get more input.
I understood what you were saying..., and I appreciate your candor. However, I really don't want to put all those hours into this project just to have it snubbed because the judges didn't think it was 40Kish enough. Again, that's why I ask your opinions. I'm still new to this and your experience is quite valuable to me. I would prefer to learn from 'others' mistakes rather than my ownI didn't want to sound like "don't do it" or something like this. oh, flames right next to the pistol look like a blade attached to it. You might want to re-draw that part.
Good eye, but they are just there for the layout. I will be painting the flames in "TrueFire" style.
Quite possible. I also think that it still need something else. Especially in the torso area.now, give him a leather coat
