Finished this little guy tonight. I was going to post the Dragonet at the same time, but he's a way off being finished yet.

I tried something new with his robes, a bit of an experiment. Started with a purple base, navy blue wash, highlight with scarlet through sky blue and into white. I'm not sure what colour it ends up being, but I think I like it. The metallics are done with some very nice plasti-cote metal paints I recently discovered.

This week has proven successful on the miniature front, especially so for my Slaanesh Cult of Noise. I've finished and named the Rolls Royce monster truck, I've called it High Roller since that amused me. Quite pleased with how it turned out, actually.

Then there's the Boom Box, a converted miniature with possibly the fastest turn around from purchase to varnish for me. It's not perfect but I'm not too worried since I'm not entering it into a painting competition. There's a few bits I would have liked to do better but due to it being second-hand and glued rather well I didn't have much choice about those spots. I am pleased with the speakers and the rust, up until now I've had trouble getting rust to look how I want but this is just the right amount I think.

Finally, a group shot of what I've finished so far. Not much completed yet, plenty of in progress stuff, but here is Boom Box, High Roller and The Hot Box, it's like some sort of family portrait gone horribly wrong.

Don't know what I'm working on next, you'll just have to wait and see...

An update to the Theatre, this time in the form of an old Jetbike.

[rimg]https://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/20 ... %2C000.jpg[/rimg]

It was mounted on one of the tiny flying bases which are notoriously unstable, so I took a trip to Hasslefree Miniatures and bought some large round bases and a load of flying bases to make something stable and attractive.

The Theatre will be entirely red, black and white rather than the usual hectic colour scheme of Harlequins with the exception of leader and special characters who have a more complicated scheme that is based on the red, black and white. All vehicles have a spirals and chequerboard theme with an irridescent glaze on any upper hull components with a large amount of purple crystal in place of what would normally be silver.

Let me know what you think.

colour scheme is so much better than your slaaneshi scheme

yeah, much easier for my eyes to accept
I would pull highlights much higher though to make it look more glossy and shiny, and thus more eyecatching :)

@ Nameless - What's wrong with my Slaaneshi theme? It's supposed to be... garish and pink. Just wait till you see the Noise Marine I'm working on XD

@Mahon - I think that means I need to use more highlight rather than making them higher since the black and the red are highlighted up to white. I'll see what I can do with the next one.

Finished the first half of the first squad of Guardians in my Alaitoc warhost. Good for the table, do you think?

Here's the captain that leads the squad above. Quite pleased with his jade mask, which while not perfect is a pretty good try.

Finally a little family portrait of the army so far.

Critique welcome, these are tabletop miniatures rather than painting show pieces, but I'm still trying to improve. I'm also trying to view all criticism as constructive since that's the whole point to sharing this stuff: to help me improve the quality of my painting.

Next up will probably be another Eldar vehicle, I've got a Vyper well on the way to completion.
