Pretty much where I want it to be right now with some shading left to do out of the direct light.

now just tell me if it's going to remain that flat and dark or you have some idea of what will be done with all the armor plates?

No it is going to stay that way as I am going for a flat, gritty, somewhat realistic look. If you look up in the thread a bit higher you can see that the armour of the lord is pretty much the same way. I have been getting away from the current look that most minis have and trying out something different. I find that a lot of miniatures now have an 'over painted' look to them that has been influenced a great deal by nmm. Even when people use metallics they tend to go too far with them I think. That isn't to say that I am not up for advice or critiques, far from it. Keeping in mind the goal I am going for with this model, what suggestions would you guys give regarding the armour plates?

Here is another two pics to show the work on the gold so far.

I think the main reason you've been able to get away with your flat more realistic style on other models is the size of them compared with this. The juggernaut has more and larger undetailed surfaces for which you want to do something with. As you know im a NMM nut so i like seeing lots of shading and highlights, but with such surfaces i'd be tempted to try out a patterning effect or freehand on the model.
