If you watered it down too much you can always add some more paint to it ;)
Nameless wrote:tomb is not finished yet. What washes would you suggest?
Use natural colors. Look up some examples of weathered stones. I don't know the names of reaper colors but I'd suggest a darker brown with a touch of green, black and pure green. You can even apply a thin wash of a darker blue, maybe with some green added. I always hit most of the the object a couple of times with all the colors and then I apply random colors to selected spots.
Sometimes I use the black wash afterwards to darken a couple of those selected spots. If I think it's necesary at least.

True, you might have to do that a couple of times in the beginning, but after that you'll know how much water you need to get the right consistency. It's all practice my friend ;)

It sure is, mate :)

Spider is slowly drying, so I tried to put some colours on the display base for my ork.

Nice base so far, you can try the use of those washes on this one too :P :P
Are you planning to add vegetation or anything else?

There will be a stream flowing in the higher part of the base, falling down to the lower part (small cascade). Hope that you can see on the pic where it will be.
And snow.

Yes, I'll try washes ;)

As for the washes i recomend :
-purple ink
-brown ink
-chestnut ink
-green ink
-black
very nice mixture you can do by mixing green ink and brown ink

As I've written before, brown&green seems to be the best choice.

@Stefan - oils? Oh no, I first have to learn to use acryllics properly :)
