After reading Tomaz post, I'd say, a little "glow" addition on the "eyes" would prolly be nice aswell

Thank you for the comments.

I must say the picture of the figure looks a lot paler than in real life. The contrast is about the same, but the colors are richer.

The visor is fact painted in a light green, not really visible on this picture.

give those skulls a yellowish/sepia wash. it will make them look more natural.

the model looks very cool with its muted and limited palette. very good representation of your own style (which means: it's recognizable!)

Sounds good but I think this has a certain risk at this point since dry pigments are already applied to the base...

The base is really good and i agree with the comments said so far. I feel with your NMM it still looks too much like stone, the contrast sort of needs that sharpness. Personally I think the skulls look fine, but i like brighter shinier things.

So more midtone and a smaller area of highlight?

Next project: Vanguard Trooper by Studio McVey.

Nice sculpt, on first sight at least. For some reason unknown to me this mini comes in four parts: legs, torso, head and arms holding the weapon. The legs and torso are really a very bad fit, and I had to file away a large part of the neck and head to get the head positioned like it is displayed on the blister.

On the other hand I think the sculpt is very well done, clear detailing, not an overloaded figure.

I'm interested to see what you'll do with this one.

I find it a bit strange to read that the fit wasn't so good. Every McVey fig I've assembled so far fitted without any problems.

Once assembled the miniature lost some of its magic to me, so I'm not going to put that much time in it. So this will be a quick "good gaming quality" style paintjob. I see it like a good practice piece for new colors, mixes, etc.
