...because that's about like this :P

I had very similar feeling about it. I even tried to find another examples of the face where it wouldn't look just like another Sylvester Stallone's Rambo, but I think he always looks quite weird.

Anyway - I prefer the versions where his face is painted darker (like Szary's version) than here. I think it helps the sculpt a lot. This pale face is not the best choice...

I think the green is a bit too light but this is personal preference. I see the 'Dark' Angels as a bit sinister looking and these are too light for my taste.

The freehands are totally awesome though!

generally I am not too fond of gold NMM on these. the best gold here is on the decoratie "wing" on the gun on the first photo. the others lack shading IMHO, but you should already know it. the blade of his powersword is much much better than the gold.

love the 'cushions' painted on the banner. for those who don't know - they're not sculpted, it's a freehand.

Ah right, those cushions. Sorry to say but I didn't think of cushions when I saw them...

What Mahon called 'Cushions' in my intention was quilted fabric :)

Thanks for all the criticism ...
Almost all the mini (the servant and Azrael except for the clothes, the blade of sword and the backpack) was painted the last year. In this year I made the rest and the bases too.

I like the freehands too, that is why I decided to finish this mini.
I think the same about gold elements and about shadows :)

The face is different than how I paint faces now  and I am very proud that I made progress! Cool!
I knew that I should repaint this face ... but the shoes and his face are the part I don't like (the shoes - because I didn't file them well :?)

Your criticism is motivating for me :D thanks!

I have something new :)

Comments are welcome, especially about the mini from Anima Tactics, because it's something new ... and I can't say that about the Nurgle minis ;) (I made a tutorial about bases of this warband, I hope will it will be pulished soon on the CofC site)

I like a few of minis from Anima Tatics... this mini too.
I liked it even when I didn't know its story.
The sculpt didn't help in painting, but many minis suffer from the same ;)

For me there is too much going on on the mini, especially when we know that this figure is fighting the evil coming from the sword. This evil is corrupting his body, and his world is changing with him.
