Re: Corvus' WIPs
I've been in touch with the previous owner of this model (he contacted me through his blog). He got the model at a so-called "Rackham Day" in Paris, when he was working there. Apparently it's veeeeeery hard to get
Re: Corvus' WIPs
awesome
it must be hard to get since i've never even seen it before !
By the way, that's such a good find in your garden ^^ perhaps i should go digging stuff up lol.

Re: Corvus' WIPs
skin lacks a bit of contrast, might try to fix that, but I'm very happy about the robes...

Robes are good but you might want to make the hip area even a tad brighter. The skin looks bland. It lacks contrast and variation IMO.

Re: Corvus' WIPs
I stopped working on the Souffre-Toile to start on Han Solo by Knight Models. It's going to be a birthday gift for my best friend, which is celebrated on 1 April. Still a long way off, I know, but I never know up front how much time I can spend painting.

sounds like an April Fools joke to me ^^Corvus wrote:birthday gift for my best friend, which is celebrated on 1 April.
seriously though - it's a 32mm mini, right? was it difficult to paint the face? why don't you add some deeper and more saturated shadows there?
Re: Corvus' WIPs
Looking good so far. I've got the same model in my painting lineup, so it's cool to see what someone else can do with it.

not very hard, the areas are well defined, only the eyes are quite hard to get rightmahon wrote: was it difficult to paint the face? why don't you add some deeper and more saturated shadows there?
I think there is already quit some shading going on on the face... the picture is a bit over-exposed, I'll try to make another picture of the face.
which areas do you think need more shading?
btw it's 30mm something
Re: Corvus' WIPs
overexposed? this explains a lot. thanks!
I was sure I recalled the face... I know this face!
