I love Game Color from Vallejo, they're nice imo, but again, it'll depends on your taste, as I already said, some peeps like them, some peeps avoid them, so peeps prefer reaper ones, it's just a matter of taste

If you have ordered them you might as well try them out. I don't like them: too thin, bad coverage, rubbery finish when dry.
I also prefer GW's metallics and washes over anything else. Vallejo Game Color inks again are very good.
It all comes down to experimenting, and choosing what suits you best.

I painted a model called "Trixie" from Ramshackle Games
From the producer of Wild Dungers Come this time TRIXI !!
no tooths or claws this time - sory boobs will must do for that
as for firsttime with GS it is wery well done end as for First NMM - symilar
greing out colors mey have 2 resons - if you use a lot of contrast colors on 1 mini - if you dont grey them out they will dominate minature end totaly overload pice leading to Chaos , other is to grey out all things that arent focal points (mentioned before)
some times greying out colors let you work actualy on light shadow contrast instade on color 1

Yea, I get what you mean. I think I have to try them all out - I'm not really sure what's my taste at the moment (too new at this), I only found GW stuff from the local hobby store, so I tried that first. Gonna try out the Game Color on my next mini.

Yeah I saw some minis with a second color inside the dark areas, always wanted to figure out how that worked...

Nice mini I've never seen this one before but the sculpt looks really cool.
As for paints - buy a few and try them. I feel more comfortable with GW paints (haven't tried the new ones yet!) and do like 98% of a mini with them. I might use a Vallejo color here and there but in general it's almost only GW.
Feedback: go brighter in highlights on focus points like on her face and boob area (

) and drop the edge-only highlights (like on her cloth). You did a good job on the skin so why not some nice blendin' on her cloth.
Keep us posted with new stuff.

Yea, in retrospect I should have spent more time on the dress.

I kinda just did some rough blending on it cause the dress was painted in a pretty dark shade, and not very apparent. But the roughness shows in photographs
Anyway, I retook the picture using a lightbox I built from a shoebox. Slightly different angle and closer to how the colors look in reality (I think):

Are this gold NMM? Pretty good for a newbie..
Beside that, I think the dress isn't highlighted enough, but that just me

Thanks!

Yea, it's meant to be gold. It's my first NMM and I chose a sculpt that has simpler surfaces for me to try it out. Fortunately, it turned out pretty okay.

I think I went too dark on the colors, cause I followed a tutorial that used a range from darkened scab red to blood red. Pushing the highlight further would be going into blazing orange?

Well, not especially, you could try some bronzed flesh into the red to have it brighter, cause if you had white, it'll turn pink
You can aswell add orange, but the effect won't be the same.
Whichever your choice will be:
TRY IT before applying it on the mini

When highlighting red you can also try adding some GW Vomit Brown or GW Dwarf Flesh (if it's later on too orange and not really red anymore going over with some Blood Red/Vermillion glaze will help bring some red back into the highlights) - or you can use the higher pigmentation of Vallejo paints to your advantage and use VMC Vermillion #028 to push the highlights even further (after blood red).
