I feel that the NMM Gold is pretty much finished, although I'll do a final round of highlights and shading before I varnish to make sure everything ties together well. I also started the first couple coats of the "black" which is really 4/1/1 Chaos Black/Beastial Brown/Reaper Master Royal Purple.

What would you suggest to make it look more like gold? I admit looking at it now it looks more bronze

to me it looks like nice and smooth brown.
to look more like gold it needs more contrast. more highlights

You can get more "golder" if you will make the corners of fingers and other things more like , you know like shining lock at this :

Thanks for the replies, your comparison photo helps a lot Mahon. So I'm thinking red and yellow (mainly yellow) glazes to try and bring the color up and the redo the highlights. Sound good?

and NMM is all about bold contrasts.
always try to find cool reference pics - not only realistic ones, but better impressive ones
