Thanks Mahon I'll definitely do that the next time I work with Black.

Alright...been quite for a bit, but here again for a new update.

Started on the first Rotten Belles model. Worked mostly on her skirt for now....so please excuse the mess for everything will come together soon.

Purple is probably the one color I have worked with so much....don't know why....but it seems I always go back to it,
no matter I much I hate working with that color :banghead:  :P

C&C are always welcomed

Till next time

The dress is pretty much done and now working on the top portion of the model. I found out quickly that pink is a strange and difficult color to work with....ended up mixing some flesh color to the pink in order to bring some smoothness and adherence to the model.

Needs a little bit of work....but getting there.

Thanks

The blends are good, but i think the painted areas need a bit more contrast and definition for my tastes. I like having distinct boundaries for specific objects and getting good contrast from almost black to almost white on most detail. I think that is what is lacking for me. I do like the colour choices so far.

Agreed with Arctica. Stronger highlight on the dress would be OK.

Thanks guys...any recommendation on which color to use to highlight pink/purple. I quickly found out the hard way that by simply adding white does not necessary work.

Thanks again

Why don't you try adding sand or skin colors to the base color? they're nicely yellowish and should add some interesting nuances to the whole surface.

Have you read Morsi's tutorial about painting faces? Many tips can be applied to subjects different than faces...

Back again with a quick update!!

Thanks Mahon....your tip have really helped me a bit...much appreciated

The overall clothing is pretty much done....need to touch up on the details---frills etc.

In addition have already started on the skin and just in need to finish up some final highlighting and face detail.

The arms will be finished off with "arm stockings" if that is what they are called....that's why they look a bit unfinished.

Should be able to get this done by tomorrow.
