Things are waaay easier in Italy.
I think we're lucky, here, then.
If you're officially employed without a time frame limit, minimum payout is 2 months, and THEN both parties have to reach an agreement for additional payment, and if they don't, well, either you can stay, either the employer pays it dearly if he tries to send you away.
Important thing however is that you came up with a solution you're pleased with, Skrit.

Jup, my contract would have ended in november and sure I could have dug my heels in but as said the company was close to bankrupcy so I would have ended up with nothing! Good thing also is that if I haven't found a new job by the end of next month the goverment steps up and pays 70% of my last paid salary untill atleast the end of my original contract. (november) So this way I am sure to have an income which makes me feel at ease quite a bit!

Its great news that you are happy with the result and that you have other opportunities coming up too

gotta always have options ready. Well if this gives you a bit more time to spend painting and with your family too

that's awesome.

in my opinion your decision is a good one. apart all of things already stated here - I can't imagine succesful cooperation with people, who wanted (still want) to fire me.

Correct, there was no basis for a good understanding anymore which would only have led to even more stress!
Taking action right now for trying to un-stress! I am sculpting right now!!!!

holy moly ....by the way the only way I could get 70% and not work is if I was hurt on the job and then they would probably make me treat myself.
