don't worry, I think it's impossible to TELL someone how you are painting, you can only teach someone by showing. Of course it also helps when you give the colors and a description, but if the guy you're explaining it to can't imagine/doesn't know there is another way to paint than how he's painting (I often hear "oooh...you paint with the lenght of the brush, not the tip...?!" when I explain/show people) then he probably won't imagine that...

e.g. when people ask me: how are you painting NMM on weapons...? I can't just say "I use wetblending" or "I use layering" to paint the gradient, because it is a more dynamic way of painting, I just use whatever I need in the given situation...
