The Nestor looks like an original RogueTrader style Genestealer. and the nidmites look like giant ticks in some respect. just a thought here, but could the nidmites be like combat drugs for the Tyranids ? attach a nidmite to one and then it pumps them full of something they naturally create ? By the way. long time lurker here. I find the stuff you folks do quite amazing as my paint skill is very lacking. and my modelling is worse.

first welcome brother, its cool to have you on board and since your a long time lurker you know that theres lots of friendly artists here that are always ready to try to help.
i love the idea of combat drugs just check my more detailed fluff about nests ( this if for you to nameless  )

Nest- organic web and flesh that tries to mimic natural enviroment... imagine like a cave entrance but instead of rock you have flesh, teeth, sticky nester and nidmite defecation strings, burried nidmites with mouth esposed at surface.... thats what we can see... the mouth of the cave but inside it genestealers and lictors or any specialized vanguard organism can hybernate for centuries...

how was it formed? - nesters (vanguard worker organism) dig small hole and stay inside... they live from surrounding fauna who is fool enough to aproach hole.... so it begins life cycle... food is reproceced and transformed on the first web layer ( web works like trap)... but the evolution continues... the more fauna the deep nesters dig and expand hole ( inside full fleshed sructure like hive ships) so scyting for killing fauna faster and dealing with more resistant animals but also help digging...(and good to walk on sticky web)

first layer and big hole is constructed now its time to expand more horizontaly... nidmites devour nester and go to the limits of nest to burry themselfes with mouth open to catch more fauna (imagine rippers) they also continue to expand the web but this time more on the surface. Nidmites also can be eaten by lictors or genestealers in long hybernation since they are pure biomass. nidmites grow and mature in nesters...

in short you have a living structure and ecosistem that nids sometimes use to infiltrate planets...

thats my idea for nid nesting...

has for sculpts their almost all done i need to take some pics asap
