Re: zombie WIP
the model is actually done - actually because I have to prepare bigget pics and probably add a plaque: the nail in front of the base is quite distracting ^^
otoh I might paint it and add some weathering around...

Re: zombie WIP
I'm not gonna lie - the base was supposed to be the focus point of the mini

I'm glad you like it!
) but I'll keep it in mind and next time I'll make the shell much darker!

but seriously - lastnight I was too tired to redo the pic but I'll do it today unless I get drunk too fast: we have planned moving game table to the new spot and such operations require huge amount of alcohol

I actually wanted to make it rather pale - the shell was almost pure white when I found it (it's dweller has been dead for a quite a long timeNameless wrote:snail is pretty distracting too. you could have made it darker.Demi_morgana wrote:the nail in front of the base is quite distracting ^^
you can comment the base again and once again write how much you like it to pimp my egoillusionrip wrote:may be so more close up pics of the minis, because it's hard to comment ^^

Re: zombie WIP
I don't mind pale colour in general. In this particular case it draws too much attention - big, white spot on a generally dark scene.
Re: zombie WIP
exactly what I felt:
1. oh, a snail!
2. nice base.
3. ...
4. oh, and there's a mini on it!
the snail steals the whole attention, and I am not sure if it's a good thing.
but it seems you managed to gain control over the resin water effects!
now show us the mini

Re: zombie WIP
well you're getting much better with the water effects for sure
looks really mucky and muddy, i like it. The base is nice, i think the shell might have more of an effect if you decided to paint the plinth black too. Maybe a light background might help?

Re: zombie WIP
I'll remember to watch out for snails making another swamp
and as for dark plinth - I actually didn't want to do that - I like original color of the wood and it's texture but I guess that would be smart move to paint it anyway

If you like the texture andwant it to show up, you can always buy woodvarnish in most DIY shops. It makes the wood darker, but keeps the textureDemi_morgana wrote:and as for dark plinth - I actually didn't want to do that - I like original color of the wood and it's texture but I guess that would be smart move to paint it anyway
