Plague Sisters....

Post by Seph »

Hello!

2nd post whoohoo on a role.....

Ok, so I've been playing warhammer 40k/fantasy both for maybe 4 months..... The games are both awesome and I really enjoy painting the figures. I think I'm doin alright for just starting out but then I look at some of the work I've seen on this web site and think my work looks pretty bunk......

So here is my new plan. I started playing and bought Sisters of Battle... not realy sure why I did this, I usually go for the more dark side sort of things. So now I don't like them. So, I started buying some Death Gaurd Nurgle stuff. Then a thought came to me why not make diseased sisters of battle!!!!! So I want to convert all of my Sisters into the most disgusting plague ridden diseased carrying ***** of the galaxy.

Problem is I don't know where to start how do you guys do this stuff what is Green Stuff? where do I get it? how does it?
Any tips on making nurgley type of things would be helpful...
I'm laying myself down here as a total newby to this so please don't flame me to hard... Heh

Thanks Seph

No one will flame you Seph but I do recommend that you watch your language! I've seen at least two words that don't belong here on this very friendly and polite forum.

About your idea: Sure, I'd say do that! I think it's a pretty cool idea and to be honest I've never seen it done before.

Look in the Wip section for a few topics started by ToMaZ. He's experimenting with Green Stuff and there are some tips to be found there. (the topics are about Nurgle as well!)

You should be able to buy Green Stuff in local GW or Hobby store. Basically it's the material original models are made from. (master models) Although there are some more sculpting materials out there but I won't trouble you with that yet...

I think I haven't welcomed you to the forums yet so...Welcome! Don't be affraid to ask cause there's bound to be someone to answer your questions as good as they can!

Tim.

Hi Seph :D

Another person here? Woo hoo!
As for the language - yeah - just try to keep it friendly, and in doubt check this post about it :)

As for the sisters - the idea of diseased sisters seems to be combining two cool things - papa Nurgle and armed women :) I like it. The photos aren't too sharp but definitely look promising :)

If you have any questions - ask them. There's always somebody to answer them :D

Seph, if you have any trouble finding greenstuff or other scuplting stuff locally (no clue where you are) let us know. There're some great online places, but knowing what country you're in would make it easier to give supplier advice. :)

And its a COOL idea! :D

First of all I'd like to say welcome this is a great site I have not been here long myself and I think it is one of the coolest sites around.

Secondly WHAT A NEAT IDEA, to think of the Emperors most devout followers being corrupted by good old fashioned disease well I can't believe it has not been done before now good spot.

As for green stuff, your local GW should have it by the bucket load but if you are able you would be able to get more of it for a better price off the net.
I'm not much of a sculptor myself, but what I do know is lots of patience/practice and err water.

Cheers Tim.

the coolest one for sure... 8)
it's great idea to make possessed sisters of battle - make them suffer! :twisted: I have almost no gs expeience but I'd like to see more b-sisters painted in death guard's color scheme... I mean rotting, pale, zombie-like flesh and dirty, weathered armours - it's just something beautiful :D so keep us updated;
