Oh i love this model

and you've done a good job on it all, looks really cool. On the tail of the thingie, the holes, maybe you could have done some weathering on those bits? like you did with the head or do you think that might be over the top? but still great work demi

I really like the metals and the pitted feel to the armor plates. I would have liked some of the green used in the eyes to make the skull face pop more. Then again I may just be jealous that you own a canker worm.

I wanted to pains sth oozing deom the holes but simply didn't want to overdo it... I wanted to achieve effect of sticky, oily substance coming out from the holes but it turned out what you can see

maybe layer of gloss varnish would help?

I'm still wondering about painting skull a bit more - it's pretty dark at least on pics (imo it looks fine in reality); I hope the worm will tirn out good investment - last friday night I saw nightmare in action and I'm damn glad I got it

next piece of metal painted! that means I have only 3 days left to paint sth new this week...
so here's golab from skarrd dark age race; I kow the sculpt doesn't "shine" but I like it and had some fun with painting it

I prefer desert as enviroment than toxic swamp - that's the reason of such colors choice; hope you like it!

Well the paint on the Cryx worm thing is fantastic I must say. Really diggin that. I do agree with Moo that it might fit the flow of the model a bit more to have some form of rust/corrosion on the bottom set of holes.

As for the above mini I have to say that while the paint is nice enough, that model itself is FUGLY! I can't find a single thing I like about that model. Of course, this has nothing to do with the paint which is quite well done. I am particularly impressed with the shading on the flesh, so smooth it is hard to believe.

I know some more rust would unify the piece with the base but learnt by solid experience of screwing mins with overdone rust I decided to stop myself when I was still able to

right now I am working on another corroded jack so I think I might take cankerworm on painting station again when I'll be adding rust...

to be honest I also had hard decision to make while choosing DA model from online store to paint and models I really liked were unavailable

I agree minis from DA range are very hmmm... specific and it takes some time + even more good will to like them

I like the mini but his right arm from front looks strange maybe its photo guilty. Anyway clear and bright colors and fantastic base I think is good way.

I am not sure if I like the eyes. and is it a tiny scar painted just above the bicep on his right arm (last photo)? I like it a lot - looks like a good use of the technique usually used for chipped surfaces.
i also think the arms would look better if they were shaded on the side next to the torso (the one where shadow from the arm would fall).

but I still think it's a very good way to go with your painting!
just my 0.02...

PS - this sculpt has something of a rubber toy-soldier and something of early 80s style in miniatures...

really diggin that last piece. The grey flesh is a nice touch. Not sure about the name, Pud thrower, round here lol it's meaning is totally different LOL great work man!
